Re: polo gti internals limits?
About 280 ftlbs is generally the limit for the standard con rods I believe. Any more and I think you're asking for trouble. But with all things you might get lucky and be able to run more than that much on them and be fine or they could fail at a lower number it's luck of the draw to a certain extent.

Re: Cheapest place to get 9n3 312mm DS2500
Thinking about it, it wasn't demon tweeks it was larkspeed that I got them from. Just go to larkspeed.com and use the website...

Re: Cheapest place to get 9n3 312mm DS2500
Just bought mine from demon tweeks, put in the car as the donor car for your front brakes (mine is an audi tt 225) dunno if they're the cheapest but seemed pretty reasonable..

Re: Polo 9N3 soft brake pedal
When they were bled was the ABS pump cycled? It's possible to end up with air in the ABS system (has a separate circuit) and this can make the brakes feel spongy. Try going for a drive and cycling the ABS a few times, see if that changes the feel at all?

K-MAC top mounts, opinions?
Ok guys, it's been a little while since the group buy for the K-MAC top mounts and I was wondering whether anyone could give me any feedback on them?
I'm looking at getting some myself now and just want to know whether people generally think they are worth it? Are they easy to adjust as advertised ...

Re: 'Performance' Oil Filters? Quantity of Oil to Buy?
5 Litres will be fine, mine usually takes roughly 4 litres.. No idea about performance Oil Filters, I presume they are shorter and are designed to raise the oil pressure? Can't say I've really seen them before.

Re: What tyres?
Little bit more than your price range, but if you can stretch to Yokohama AD08Rs I's thoroughly recommend them! I got a new set fitted a couple of weeks back and they are truly awesome! I don't think there's a better performance tyre for the dry.

Brakes and Pads
Hi Guys,
Just wondering what brakes and more specifically brake pads you are running and how you are finding them?
My polo has TT225 front brakes and I've been running EBC redstuff pads for the last year or so but I reckon I'm gonna need a new set of pads all round soon. The car still has standard ...

How much gearbox oil is needed for a full change do you know? Just 1 Litre?noone025 wrote:A few of us in Australia have had success with the Redline MTL or MT-90 gearbox oils.
Does help with the crunching, there are a few threads on the topic on VW Watercooled forum
