well my dad bought the vag usb readers with the software not realising its pirate software with no crack or keygen... so going to have a talk with him when hes back at the weekend.

yes amongst other thigns i have scanned it with a normal obd2 reader/clearer and get cylinder no 4 misfire and sometimes random multiple misfires . but it only ever comes on either at low revs or idle or slowing down mainly just on idle. although sometimes the engine will literally cut out on me ...

Since the original post, i have replaced the map sensor, which hasnt fixed my trouble. does anyone know wether i might have to replace my ecu?
