Re: Polo 64 plate stalling issues diesel 1.4l

Both me and my sister have the 1.4 TDI models, her's stall easier than mine (mine is the 90PS version) and both have had their clutch and DMF replaced at around 20K for my sisters and 35K for mine. I found if I'm on any type of incline I need to slip the clutch slightly by revving the engine to arou...

Re: Wind noise

You need to get it checked asap as VW get weird about alignment. I think they only give you 6 months/6000 miles to get alignment issues sorted FOC without you kicking off.

Re: 1.4TDI bluemotion, engine temperature overheat warning

Definitely keep complaining, I'm on my third water pump on my 2014 1.4 TDI 90PS, failed first at 50K miles last October and again last month at 72K miles. I had to pay for the first replacement (£175), the second replacement was free as it failed 11 months after initial replacement. Sisters failed o...

Re: Middle seat belt stuck

Mine locked too and the seat just about went back up. A friend who works unbolted the seat belt from the bottom and pulled it at different angles and it was sorted. Sorry it's not much help!

No it would come with a different steering wheel button layout/stalk if it wasn't present. My cousin has a the new TSI Beats edition without any extras specced and hers has fully working cruise control. :D

Re: 2018 Polo NEW SHAPE

I've already seen over £2k off a polo SEL via Carwow. Unlike the T-roc, they seem to be discounting the Polo right out the door. I'm contemplating a dsg gti+. I do a 31 mile drive to work down the M61 and round the M60 and I am getting fed up of changing gear constantly in traffic at night (first w...

Re: Someone hit my parked car...

Either your damage is less, or that must be the bargain of the year, and especially so when it is a VW main dealer that is doing the work! I had a few marks along one panel and door on my 2011 S4, and that cost almost £1800 when done at a VW body shop that held Audi approval - Audi wanted over £250...

Re: Someone hit my parked car...

Hey guys, I should have said in the original post but the other driver is insured. I spoke to my dad and he said that I should take the car to the bodyshop on Monday so that they can assess the damage and give me a quote. £1000 is crazy! I'm not an expert in anyway but I thought £500 max. I have se...

Re: 2016 1.4 TDi - Jerky 1st Gear

I have the 1.4 TDI SEL too and mine did this... the only way I got around it was to slip the clutch slightly, turns out at around 30K miles when I brought it up I was told they needed to replace the Dual Mass Flywheel to a Single Mass Flywheel. Apparently they're replacing this on all Polo diesels t...

For Sale: Set of 17" Boavista Alloys

Have a set of 17" Boavista alloys from my last Polo, have covered around 15k before being taken off. All are in good condition with no buckling, 2 of them have some small kerbing. Apologies they aren't clean, have been sat in the garage for two years, the black marks are rubber from the other w...

Re: Polo GTI 2015 Heater Vent Rattle

When I had this issue on my car (started at around 1700rpm) they diagnosed it to loose fuel lines, they re-clipped them and the noise went away.

Re: Blue GT Chome Exhaust trims

Hi Norbreck

The part number for the exhaust trim is 6R0 253 825 and you will need to order two of them. The 6C BlueGT's now come with fogs with Xenons as standard no so you won't need to retrofit them again on the new one. :)

Hope the new car is as good as your last!

Re: Polo 6C Exhaust Tip

I presume this is the 1.2 TSI with the exhaust tip showing? If so the this will do, just need to push it on and give it a last back with a rubber mullet or similar.

Re: Polo 1.4 Tdi SEL Bluemotion (2015 model) - Poor idle when cold

Glad to hear it's sorted now Dave :) MPG wise, going to work I go through local roads (17 miles) all of which are 30MPH with a 3 mile stretch of country road at 40MPH and on average I see anywhere between 55mpg - 64mpg. Driving around from site to site when at work 4/5 miles max each I see 45-50mpg ...

Re: Polo 1.4 Tdi SEL Bluemotion (2015 model) - Poor idle when cold

I have the same engine and my sister has the 75ps version and neither of them do this. This week has been especially cold in the mornings (-2C to 1C) and they have started and idled fine. Your symptoms sounds very similar to an issue I had with my last Polo, a 1.2 TDI. This car ate through 3 fuel pr...
