Im live on the island and have been before, its an awesome little festival, cheap tickets, chilled weekend, great atmosphere and plenty of volkswagens!

Oh and just another quick question, under heavy braking or bumpy roads the brake pedal feels really hard/rough/grindy and vibrates, i know the abs is probably kicking in but it feels disgusting under the foot, any explanations as to why? (when i say heavy braking its more like a bit more force than ...

Yeah its the cooling system i mean, il have a look at the radiator tomorrow, if i cant see anything il have a pressure test done and hopefully find something!

I topped up my water bottle about 2 weeks ago then yesterday the warning light came up on the dash so i checked the bottle again and it was about an inch under minimum!! theres no sign of any leaks that i can see.. are all gti's this thirsty? any feedback would be great!!

One of the lucky ones! haha, im hopeing mines all good and its just the clutch thats chattering a bit, the clutch pedal is quite stiff so either the pedal box has collapsed or the clutch is on its way out, il sort that out and see if that solves the problem, im literally praying its not the box!

I can hear a slight chatter when changing gear so im hoping to have a look and catch anything before it gets serious. I really do want to give it a go myself but i dont have the first clue about gearboxes haha. I want some confidence when i put my foot down that the box wont just go bang! Mines on 1...

How difficult is it to do this myself? there isnt a gearbox specialist for about 200 miles from where i live so im thinking about giving it a go.. is this a good or bad idea? if anyone has a guide or has done it themselves please contact me!

Looking to get some 16" wheels and be lowered so the arch just sits above the tyre, does anybody know how wide i can go before i start getting problems?

also being farely new to all this im unsure on what ET and ofset is... if anyone can shed some light it would be much appciated!

Also when the light comes on roughly how many miles have i got left ? i never leave it this late but just incase i get caught short

£50 gets me about 240 miles from fill up to when the light comes on, my drives are constant stop starts and im only usually driving for 10-15 mins at a time, can anyone tell me if this is good bad or average??

Sound like an idiot for asking but how do you find out what your mpg is? i cant see anything around my dials for mpg.....
