Ahh thanks mate, gunna go with the charging one, only a few quid extra and saves it dying on me, plus it will look a bit smarter as i can tuck the ipod away and use the head unit to controll it

The adapter lead sounds like a fairly easy solution, any idea where would be the best place to get one?

also had a look at the parrot mk9000i sounds good but its a bit pricey seeing as all i want the aux for is to plug in my ipod every now and then

Been looking around for quite a while and cant seem to find any black headlights to fit the GTI that arent angel eyes... Does anyone know if there is any other choices? or has anyone moded the standard lights that could give me some tips?

Any idea if VW do a head unit with aux connection to fit the 6n2? i like the way the lights all match up so dont really want to go for an aftermarket unit unless theres one that matches up quite well? Any suggestions?..
