Re: Sound from Heater

Sorry but I could not make it out - yes I remember that noise, at times, after we had been in bed for an hour or so, and our youngest daughter was downstairs on the internet, I used to terminate her session by lifting the bed side phone up and whistling into it, that worked every time and it follow...

The sound is continuous and sounds like a buzzing, i hope it is not from the ac/heater compressor .

Re: Sound from Heater

I am reffering to the backround noise, like a low frequency version of when ISDN internet was trying to connect in the 90s.
It is continuous.
The clicking noise is the parking/ stop lights sound.

Sound from Heater

https://files.fm/u/449bf25t83

Hello can anyone help me identify the problem ?
The heater for a long time has been making this buzzing sound.
It happens almost always during winter when the temperature is cold outside from 8 degrees and below.
During summer periods i do not hear anything.

Re: New actuator for a 2013 1.2 tsi ( and maybe turbo )

Hello, Kind suggestion before you proceed on changing the whole turbo . Do a smoke test. Also buy an OBD11 or other diagnostic tool to see for yourself the faults that pop up. The light could be popping up for several reasons. The air intake loss fault could be poppin up for several reasons . One ex...

Re: Polo 6R 2011 cuts out with flashing glow plug light.

You should start checking the basics . Battery , glow plugs, glow cables and ignition coil. You check battery with a multimeter to see how many volts it has, if its 12.6 u r good. If its below that its starting to go bad. But in order for the battery to cause a problem it has to be below 12 volts. E...

Re: In great need of help

OK guys . Second week in a row and the morning problems that USED to occur 5 to 8 items for a single 25 min drive . Never occured again, i consider this problem fixed. So if your obd scanner gives "Intake Air System Leak" fault and you have concluded that you dont have an air leak (via smo...

Re: In great need of help

Just one comment on the length of wire that you bought with a female contact pin at each end, there is a list somewhere on line covering the part numbers, each one's wire gauge/size and contact pin type/sex. These are sold as "repair wires", the intention, I think, is that an auto electri...

Re: In great need of help

So reading between the lines, you managed to solve the ESP issue with the new connector and some cables? Exactly, like in medicine there is no black and white. Sometimes more than one problem can occur at the same time, same thing applies with cars (thats my conclusion after trying to mingle with s...

Re: In great need of help

So, after relying on garages to take care of my problem. I decided to take care of the issue myself. I am writing what happened, for you to understand the level of incompetence of the AUTHORISED vag dealership here. Went to the parts department and ordered a replacement for 1J0973704 fuse since me a...

Re: HELP NEEDED TO IDENTIFY CABLE

Yes, that's the battery cable. Parasitic drain testing is really easy. First you must lock the car and let it fall asleep. This takes some time. Make sure the car thinks it's locked and closed, but it's important to have free access to fuses and relays. So close the door lock with a screw driver bu...

iichel wrote: Wed Dec 07, 2022 8:45 am you can just remove the black wire on the battery with a 10mm wrench. that's the positive coming from the alternator. no need to remove anything on the alternator itself.
The black wire ok. I will do this today.

From OP's photo the far left black one.

Re: HELP NEEDED TO IDENTIFY CABLE

I changed yesterday the battery to a bosch S5A05 , when i park the car the voltage is 12.81 and when i take the car the other day the voltage is 12.40. I have checked via removing the ne...

Re: HELP NEEDED TO IDENTIFY CABLE

This cable supplies electricity to the main fuse box and all the interior. So basically he traced it to everyting in your car EXCEPT the alternator (black cable), power steering (blue cable) and ABS (green/red cable). Next step is to narrow it down any further by investigating the fuses below the d...
