Always above 90* once up to temp. Rarely 100*+ when pushing on.

That's not right. They are supposed to work every xx times the screen washers are used bit with the screen washers.

I got a calculated 45.9 mpg on a 188 mile journey today (dual and single carriageway) with cruise set at an indicated 65mph. The MFD showed 47.4 so only a little optimistic. It seems that lots struggle to do much better in BlueGTs which were bought with economy in mind.

Lots will say different but autoglym is a very good starting point for a thorough clean. Bodywork shampoo, synthetic polish, and hd wax/extra gloss protection work well and you can clay etc if you have time.

Wheels are on. Final spec, VW New Beetle wheels 16x6.5j ET 42 with hankook 195 50 R16. Rolling diameter is about 3-5mm smaller than stock. Cheers for the input from all of of you.
