My Polo's AC seems to have a little issue with the AC, the AC appears to be blowing cold but the car doesn't seem to cool down in fact as soon as you turn the fans off the car is to hot. I borrowed my mates VAGCOM and found these issues:

I have a central locking issue with my 2002 9N1 Polo, The Rear Passenger Side Door Intermittently Unlocks it self after I press lock it. It appears to lock then sometimes bounces back up (unlock state), checking on the Computer with a mates VAGCOM, shows the measuring blocks for the door ...

OK say I was to get a new headunit with CD,radio, AUX as a minimum requirement, how much you reckon I should budget? and is there any you recommend?

You'll lose the CD player if you add an aux port as it uses the same port as the single CD player. The spare ports are for telephone and RCA outputs

Your best really to buy a replacement head unit and be done with it. It'll be far superior to the vw head unit and provide a lot more functionality ...
