Getting it done off insurance at £600 by a authorised VW bodyshop. Hoping to get it sorted next week.

Quote obtained for £600 including VAT from a authorised VW repairer.

Do I claim and pay £250 excess or pay the £600? Is a claim really going to impact my premium by an extra £350 over the following years?

What I thought was a approved VW repairer is in fact not. I have obtained a quote for a authorised VW repairer and it's near on £800!!! I don't think I have any real option now but to make a claim. I'm gutted that my brand new car has been damaged and the responsible party was not honest enough to o...

Worth claiming on my 'free' insurance then? Will lose 2 years no claims and put me down to 7 years but will cost me £250 excess.

I have been quoted £300 from a reputable insurance approved bodyshop or £550 for a VW approved repairer. I'm concerned about any paint warranty that I have...
