Re: Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
I finally got ahold of the correct cable, and it seems to work very well playing music from the USB, however, there is no audio. I've read about there being a cable missing somewhere from the TPK to the AUX in on the radio or something, how can I get the sound from the TPK to come through the ...

Re: Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
Ah right, wanted to avoid that as it'll probably be costly. I'll investigate to see if this will actually do what I want before spending lots of money on it....

Re: Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
I've had a dig around and found the control box for the TPK hidden underneath the radio, and I've identified the media in port on it, so now I just need the correct cable presumably so that I can input USB or AUX into that box and control it via the TPK.

Re: Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
I did give that consideration so I might spend the £100+ on all the bits at some point in the future, but for now as all I want is the USB in function, I'll spend £15 on an adapter. Might as well try and use the bluetooth first as it's already there and therefore costs less

Re: Fitting/Upgrading to remote central locking?
Thanks for that, I don't suppose you know where the resistor goes or where the box can actually be located, as in behind which bits of trim it can fit?
I guess some info will be included with the wiring diagram/instructions that they give you.

Re: Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
Ah right, so anywhere that I can connect the aux in to the bluetooth kit would be behind the radio? I took the radio out just to see what aux in options there were (there is an ipod dock already in, which runs of the CD changer). I wasn't sure if anything might be hidden behind any other bits of ...

Removing bits of trim for VW Bluetooth kit
I've got the VW TPK installed in my car which I probably won't use, so was thinking of taking it out, but I noticed it has a music feature, so if I can get the right USB/Aux in cable, I can use it to play my own music, rather than arse about with trying to set up the radio (RCD 210, which has no MDI ...

Cheers for that, I don't suppose you have any idea where the resistor needs to go? Although I guess it will be with the instructions which are in the kit....
Do you know where he put the module? I'm assuming there is a space for it somewhere, or its hidden behind a bit of trim or something.

Fitting/Upgrading to remote central locking?
I've got a 10 plate Polo which I assume didn't come with a remote central locking fob, so I was wondering how easy it is to upgrade to one? Do I need VW to program a key especially for me, or is it possible to use an after market kit which can activate the door locks?
