Re: New Polo GTI DTUK or Remap?

Apr and revo are the biggest tuning cmpanies around for vw, audi etc for a reason. Tried amd tested maps that produce good results. A box that gets brought out as soon as the car is developed has to raise questions. Bsr and revo are still developing the map, and apr took a while to bring out theres ...

Re: New Polo GTI DTUK or Remap?

Well after 6 years of being away from this forum since selling my 9N3 GTI I am back ( and remembered my password!). I'm looking at buying a new Poli GTI for my wife. Viewed it today and had a shot of a demo one. If we do go through with the sale I will be wanting to add a little more power as it di...

Re: GTI 6c With DTUK box and running decat

If your going to be doing mods like air intakes, exhausts and decats etc a custom remap is the only option to get the best from them. Tuning boxes have a set generic map which was created from a standard car. Custom remap will accomidate your mods. But no point in doing custom map till you have done...

Re: Help me mod my Polo - Budget £500

Lower it on h&r springs or get cheap FK coilovers, dont put bigger wheels on without lowering it as it will look more like a tracter and rear arch gap is already bad enough. Springs start about £130 i think Dont bother with exhaust decat as it pointless. If you want noise get a cheap system or b...

Re: Polo 1.2 TSI Problem

One of the main reason the cheaper cars are reliable is that they are using tried and tested engines etc and VW are always trying to push on, even if they are not the most reliable cars I would much rather drive a VW than a Kia Hyundai or even Honda to be fair I would sooner drive a car thats relia...

Re: At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!

I had the chain, tension, chain guide, and i believe cover changed. All the bits that vw would have swapped. All genuine parts. I would advise any one that has a 1.2 tsi that makes any loud noises on start up to have it checked out

Re: At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!

In regards to the 6r 1.2 tsi and the chain stretch, its happened to me at 45k miles. Just had all work done for just over £500. Vw wanted £1200 min. Absolute joke. Wouldnt use a main dealer for anything as vw have been less than helpful tbh

Re: Blue GT induction kit?

This the same engine as the gti? Look for a group on Facebook called "Polo 6t/6c Owners Club Uk". Lad on there has just developed a kit for his 6r gti and has had it dyno'd with proven results and is now selling them.

Re: Anyone else think their GTI is s**t? or any polo

Dont have a gti but not been over impressed with my 1.2 tsi. Drinks oil, already had to have the chain and tensioner changed and its only on 45k miles. And it rattles and creaks more than any ford i have owned. Had both a fiesta st and a focus previously and cant see any way this is built any better...
