I've been using Black Diamond Predator pads for over two and a half years now and don't think that they require any extra pressure to work :?
When was the last time you had the brake fluid changed?
Cheers :)
Hi SiGTi, Thank you for your reply. I changed the fluid Dot 5.1 last summer when I ...

brake pad choice?
Hi All,
Can some one suggest or recommend some front brake pads which are a little more fade resistant than standard and which do not require too much extra pedal pressure. the car is a 1.4 8v 6n2 fitted with Brembo smooth discs.

Final note, I have cut down the rear bump stops by 35mm and it has completely cured the extremely harsh ride, and body roll is still negligable.
I have done the same to the front stops and fitted the struts. Adjusting the camber was a real struggle, and the toe on one side very difficult due to it's ...

Solid rear suspension ??
Need some help here. I have just bought a set of 4 Eibach Pro springs, minus 30mm all round and a set of 4 Bilstein B4 OE replacement gas dampers. I have only fitted the rears so far and the result is spine jaring. There seems to be almost no rear suspension movement and there is now a total absense ...

Information Required ASAP
Hi All.
1/ Can anyone tell me how to remove the two black plastic domes from above the front suspension struts inside the engine bay on my 6n2. I have tried various methods but they are locked in solidly, and I do not want to damage them obviously. Haynes No 4150, as usual, avoids mentioning this ...

Re: petrol in oil - damage?? (should have checked ages ago)
Right, I don't know if I recounted the story of my final contact with Poppy, fixing the ECU problem for my uncle. Probably did.
Anyhow, the upshot of the drama was that the sump (and presumably all the oil passageways) got contaminated with a HUGE amount of unleaded, enough to take me completely ...

Hi all, just bought myself a 2000 1.4s 6n2 3 door with only 14000 mls on the clock, in mercato blue metalic. I'm very pleased with it except for the body roll. I do not like slowing down for bends. I previously had an '87 Audi 100 for 17 years & can say that it will easily out corner the polo! It ...
