Sorry mate, it was sold long since.
It is after all over 12 months since this was advertised for sale!

I've toyed with selling this car several times before but this time its got to go as i've now got a replacement.

It is a 1990 G reg mk2 saloon Polo C, absolutely 100% genuine car, never been painted or welded!!!
I did a full GT conversion on it when i got it and it has been a brilliant car ever ...

I've got just the thing.
5spd came out of an F reg 1300.
Only trouble is, i'm up in Cumbria.
I can send items weighing upto 30 kilo's for £9.99 but i haven't a clue what weight a gearbox would be.

I have just been into my local scrappie today and what do i see perched on top of a heap of cars...... an H reg GT with 77,000 miles on it :D :D :D .
So now i need to know how big a job it is to swap the engine and box over to my G reg Coupe S.
Is it better to keep the injection or is it possible ...

Mine has a Magnex stainless steel back box off a Saxo i think it was, with a straight through pipe to it. And a K&N filter, and thats it but it goes like stink now with the Weber on, don't know about fuel economy, i haven't really been anywhere since it was fitted other than one road rally and it ...

I had loads of bother with my Mk2 cutting out all the time, tried everything to cure it and never did until i fitted a Weber 32DMTR which came off a 1.3 Golf.
I also had to fit a manual choke cable which is no bother as the hole for the cable is already there in the dashboard for the ...

Finally cured it :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
Binned the poxy Pierburg and replaced it with a Weber.
After trying all the electrical componants and still no joy, i hunted down a Weber and put that on. Feels like its a bit more lively and it keeps going.

Yes it cuts out while driving along, never when it comes to a juction or anything. It can be faultless for days then all of a sudden it will cut out, it hasn't done it since last Sunday 10th Oct.
