On another note , I tend to find that the car is a lot more fun when the tank is nearly empty. I guess this is down to less weight! , mind you gets a bit scary on twisty bits!

squeeky gti

My car is running very well at the moment, but has developed a small squeak , like a trolley with a wonky wheel. Seems to be coming from right, rear of car, possibly suspension. Seems to become louder on sharp turns. I think it might be the shocks as it seems to happen after the initial ‘bounce’ ...

Yes , I would have to say having had my gti for only a few months that I’ve still not become accustomed to is handling around gradually progressive corners. Perhaps this is down to the tyres , a good set of Dunlops that are fairly warn. The behaviour seems to be that it will appear grip well until...

Sorry to say the Polo GTI is defiantly a car you need to have some money set aside for repairs. Take a look at the posts regarding things going wrong. For example I just had a couple of engine sensors go , 150 quid’s worth. Might be better to go for a used approved car in the long run if you are o...

OH NO, I JUST LOOKED AT THE PICS, IT DONT HAVE CLIMATE CONTROL!!! IMO dont buy it, no f*****g way... also 5 door!!! GAY!!! Phill. Actually , I quite like the GTI in 5 door in black (makes the car look a bit more stealth like - so many small cars with 3 doors these days) that and the fact a decent 5...

Re: Yiiippppeeeee

Fcuking yes - The Polo GTI lives on to fight another day. Being repaired by Solus in the next couple of days and should have it back in a few weeks. Hopefully they won't find anything else wrong otherwise the over whelming feeling of joy could be short lived. Sorry but looks like the bits won't be ...

Sounds like it could be similar to the problem I was having with engine sensors. Take it in asap and get the fault codes read , in particular do any erros occur when the car is switch on.

best of luck.

my first troubles . no car for one week , (Now fixed (:'--

After the car refused to start I called out VW assistance who where great and diagnosed cam shaft + another failure (error code G40!? ,co-incense!) The dealer was excellent and took the car strait in , however one of the sensors is on vack order and will take 10-12 days to arrive. Because my car is ...
