The clutch cable is covered by mondial insurance, the 3rd party warranty you can get after the dealers warranty runs out!.

I had mine replace a few weeks ago, it snapped 8)

Have the fault codes read at your local garage.

Could be engine one of the various sensors (eg timing), hopefully its not.

It was a red car. Don't recal any stickers - but it was some way off , actually the lights on the back might not have been 9N,does the new GTI have twin exhast?

The standard brakes seem to be pretty good, alrough they do fade a little bit if driven hard. Are the G60 brakes a lot better ?

I have just had the 40k service carried out because of the age of the car (2000) , only has 32k miles on the clock. With the brake fluid change and a few other bits around 300 quid at vag However , I can say the improvement can be felt and is pulling better , 4k -8k rpm is very smooth. :lol: [/code]

Great Idea,

I would love to do a few top speed runs legally.

Would be best to organise for March onwards I reckon, get a load of names down and money up front etc.

Good chance for a load of GTIS to be re-united.
