Yes, when I was ordering my Polo the same thing was threatened, the dealer tried to fob me off saying the 'busier' (and far uglier) alloys were more expensive and VW were only giving me a free upgrade because there were not enough 'Lyon' alloys made. I specifically asked for them to find me a Polo ...
