Selling my 1.2 TSI 6R Advice

So I'm looking for some advice. I've decided to upgrade my Polo which I use for commuting. It's a late 61 plate 1.2TSI, 44k on clock with full service history. I've carried out the following uogrades: R Line rear bumper and front grill Refurbed Black Boavista 17inch with new Hankook Tyres RNS315 wit...

Re: 6R MFSW Volume Buttons - Stopped Working

Yes, I've changed both and did all the necessary VCDS work. However that was 6 months ago.

6R MFSW Volume Buttons - Stopped Working

Hi All
Funny thing happened this morning. There I am meandering along the M25 when the volume buttons stopped working on my MFSW. All other buttons work fine.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Rob

Re: New Lights & Lowering

Wow, some good headlight info there. I'll have a look next time I'm out in the dark.

Keep your old headlights and swap out before MOT. Problem solved !

Re: New Lights & Lowering

There is a adjustment screw / bolt which allows you to adjust the beam direction. Mine as now set up as per my original lights.

LHD or RHD makes no difference as you can adjust the beam patten to suit which side you drive on.

Re: exhaust

Noisey with no real performance increases I'm told ! Looks good though under the bonnet though along with the forge induction kit.

Re: polo TSI lowering advice

Ive got black Boavistas. Just lowered mine 25/40 H & R sport. Ride is fine and not massively different to standard. Car feels far more planted. Also getting 5 mpg more since the lowering which is weird. I can recommend spacers 10mm each front corner and 20mm each rear corner. Car looks better an...

Re: GTI 6R Rear Defusser

So, you just modified the existing diffuser ?

Did the GTI back box use the same fixing points as the standard exhaust or did you have to modify anything ?

Re: MFSW Retro Fit

Have you got VCDS Tom ?

It may be worth popping the airbag off and checking the connections and wiring incase anything has moved or been trapped. Pretty unlikely I know but worth a look.

Re: GTI 6R Rear Defusser

I think it's down to personal tastes on bumpers, valances and diffusers. I've got an Rline bumper on my 1.2TSI SEL. I really like it actually in comparisson to the standard bumper. The diffuser clips / screws on and is good VW quality. Not sure one you've seen that glues on and certainly isn't cheap...

Ah, so what didn't fit, wrong size or was it the fixings ?

Re: GTI 6R Rear Defusser

Have you tried ? I don't fancy butching my Rline defuser to get a double outlet in but it may be the only way.

GTI 6R Rear Defusser

Hi
Does anyone know if the rear defusser off the GTI will fit on the Rline bumper or can be modified to fit. Both vehicles seem to have similar rear grey plastic defusers however I'm guessing the exhaust hole / gap on the GTI one is slightly wider. Positioning looks exactly the same.

Thanks

Rob
