Official VW figure is 11.1 iirc, but that's with what they call a 'half load!!'

Somewhere between 10 and 10.5 is probably more realistic!!

I got rid of the t-piece altogether and just ran one of the lengths of pipe between the two vacuum outlets. The existing pipe was long enough to do that. Sorry if that's a bit obscure - i'll get a pic if it helps... The other thing that might be worth doing (tho i doubt it will cure the problem) is ...

Surely a different choice of mesh would make it even more effective wouldn't it?!! :?

I mean that perforated sheet must only be letting in about a third of the air it could be - right??

Just a suggestion!! ;)

If the fan is only coming on that high then is it possible the guage is just over-reading??

Or, if it's a two speed fan - is it only coming on at the higher speed??

I think Gareth had to fiddle my temp guage cos it was reading too high.

Well if you're replacing the water pump anyway - then we'll see if that solves it I guess!!

100 degrees is a bit on the hot side. My GT rarely goes above 80!!

Does that mean the fan is almost always on??

That's obsurd giving them away!!

Anyone changing the colour for example would throw out the green strip anyway!!

Still, I did give away a perfectly good set of wheels!!
