try metro breakers, they in hendon, normally have a couple of polos lying around 0208 205 2100

mine used do the same but only in the cold and when i didnt let the car warm up properly before drivind. does yours happen when u first start the car or after a while ? mine dissapeared after a serious service (plugs fuel and oil filter distributor arm and spark plug leads)

try VW breakers in coventry called VW sanburn search for em on the net for contact info. Got my gearbox from em, they got loads of polo ones in stiock+ should be able to help.

fuel pump relay is behind the main fuses in the fuse box. should b a white band thingy in front of the relays with a screw either side that has 2 come off before u get to the relays.Thats how it is in my car anyway !!

BTW: U need a torx screwdriver to unscrew the band thingy !

anyone know what gearbox goes on to the AER 1.0Litre engine (Polo 6N) ? Preferably the gearbox code ?

And anyone know the reason for clutch release bearing wearing a ring in the pressure plate ??

cheers, thought it might be release bearing noise, ruled out possibility of CV joints as the noise stops when the clutch is depressed rather than continuously noisy.

Got a 1998 1.0l polo and the gearbox is well noisy. basically the gearbox is noisy when you let go of the accelerator and more noisy in 3rd 4th and 5th.
