Well the 1H0 962 257 G has turned up ill hook her up when the Missus gets back from Work. Ill let you know how she goes...

But it would be nice to hear what the Different pins are for!

G has all pins 1-12 so it should do the job!

The part number i have here is 1H0 962 257 J and im looking at getting a 1H0 962 257 G that i have found.

The pins are like this on the J

Well no go there its dead. Ive just been to a scrapy and they have a 1H0 962 257 (with no J) Slightly different tube fitting and also one of the pins wasnt there. Any ideas or anyone else used a different pump?

Its drying out at the mo' so fingers crossed Cheers for your help guys. Ill go out and check about opening the flap, if i get stuck ill give you a shout!

Well ive just removed the pump and its dripping wet Ive removed the greay cover and ill see if i can dry it out but im guessing its fried If it is ill have to buy her a new pump!

Nice one cheers ill have a look for the boot post. As for the noise there isnt any noise at all So it looks like it could be the pump. Would VagCom bring up the error?
