yep too the back of the front doors there all identical bar a few minor items. 90 - 94 (H to M plate)

saloon, coupe, squareback, convertible, van. thats why you can change interiors, wheels, brakes engines, gearboxs, as its all plug and play.

A pile of other vw stuff from the same age fits too ...

yeah thats right.

saloons are just a coupe with a bit welded on and a metal plate behind the rear seats. :lol: look under the boot carpet and you will see the line! :D glass is the same to.

but obviously rear window, boot and back exhaust are different and the rear wiring loom.

the rear one is unique but the front is the same as the rest of the range :D try the local scrappy or ebay. think gsf do some to but not sure on the quality. there silly prices new from vw!!

Fk is good aparently! I was recommended them by loads off folk on club polo.
my garage has them fitted for the last year and a half! no problems :lol:

will fit it eventually! :oops:

think alans mate graham (now spuds car) has a cup kit fitted, alan reconed it was good stuff. your gt would look ...

i spied it to.
think half coded bumpers would be nicer. not decided if i like the tailgate yet! :? bet the rear arches are bad with 15s and 185s ouch! I can hear the scuff noises!!

its a LHD GT (AAV engine from new :? )
but its got a G40 unit fitted. 8)

i bought is as a engine doner for my squareback :D
so it will be up for grabs cheep as a rolling shell or with the original engine. about the end of january.

I only found out that part existed about a month ago when i was wondering round the scrapy! its cool! 8)

do you know if the squareback version got it to? as i am after one now!

County was a mk2 spec but the ocassional mk2f(mk3) turns up (best person to ask is Gareth!

boulvard was a limited edition more or less the same as the genesis i.e tinted glass etc but the interior was black and said "VOLKSWAGEN" all across it in multi colours. dont think it got a rev counter or GT ...

genesis's have:

rev counter,
tinted glass,
sunroof,
GT/G40 steering wheel
wider tyres,
fake leather gear gater cover, and a nice interior pattern (I think) as standard

but no glovebox door, cigi lighter or passenger door operated light, and no passenger grab handle (roof mounted)! due to it being ...

the ones on scottishvag I didn't get as they dont fit! so don't buy them if he offers them to you! they are off a latter model audi like the maroon one in the scrappy!

I bought a new toy for the polo but you can see it next week. :D

I am going to have to save again - just looked at the price of reconned items £65 each. Also looking at zimmerman cross dirlled/vented disks and pagid fast road pads for the 256s, as they worked well with the g40 brakes on my GT. (It now has cheap ass part co items mintex pads and ????? disks but ...

I was hoping that was it, as there is an audi in the scrapy which i think is of the right type.

Bigger the brakes the better i say!

Don't laugh they are going on my new 1.0 not the GT (the GT has G40 brakes on), but the little 1.0 is my new project!
