with 10mm you would see no difference, 30mm is the smallest amount you can get wih out coilies iirc.

I'd say maybe 50mm though

well a polo of this type doesn't have an egr valve but has something similar so the garage told me. If it was a failing egr valve it would turn up on the vag com as a fault code. Anyway... Took my car to garage today as it was doing it again (the same fault as describe in the initial cost) and this ...

sorry to resurect such an old tyhread, but did any of the above resolve the issue?

How much was the egr vavle to replace?

Im interested as i have a friend who has a similar issue and no one can seem to sort it - nothing shows up on the computer they plug in either as its intermittant.

what could i expect on a mark 6 1.4 fsi engine bhp and torque wise? As in 5-10 of each more?

with my 1.4 fsi i get aroud 37-40 mpg on a ful tank, this is mostly motor way driving @ 80mph with a 5 mile section of lots of s**t round abouts to go on.

Tbh though i do give it some stick :twisted: though lol

my car does this and its a 1.4 fsi. It VERY!! Intermittantly will drop the revs to quick when i come to a stop. It almost seems for me it drops that quick it cuts its self out. How ever if i keep the revs up while stopped, then drive off and keep going for 10-15 mins it sorts its self out :roll:. I ...

Sorry mate its not my cup of tea and i dont think it will be many other peoples either.

If he does decide to keep it tell him to change the alloys they really dont suit the car

i paid £115 from my local dealer, not a VW specialist but still it give you an idea. This was all filter changed, inc pollen and fuel with inspecting any fault codes my ecu had thrown up.

So give you an idea.
