I believe it fits a Nokia 7250 but it does also fit 6021/6020. If you wanted to update it to a later Nokia it is pretty straight foward to replace adapter.

It will be the ignition switch. Had one replaced on my old 2000 Polo. Apparently quite common according to some VW technicians I know.

Had a similar experience myself, was thinking of getting rid of our one. That was until I used it for a week instead of my Fabia vRS (a tough car to compare it to). I had forgotten what a great little car it is! Gave it a full valet last weekend, treated it to some new tyres and getting it serviced ...
