Hi everyone, I'm back after a long while...
This post is to present you the third generation of VW's South American bestseller, the Gol. It slots below the Polo in VW's current Brazilian lineup, and it's unlikely that you'll ever see one in Europe. But I'll post about it anyway. :D

New Skoda Fabia
Well, here it is, the first car to be built from the next Polo's platform.

Skoda Fabia fascia drawer - does it fit the (n?
Hi all,
been checking some old (2000-ish) magazines and I've noticed that high-end Fabias come (or used to come) with a pretty handy in-dash drawer (complete with what appears to be one of those smooth, dampened VAG opening mechanisms) that sits right below that car's radio.
That got me wondering ...

Embarassing question I know...

Liquid explosives in aircraft
Hi everyone,
The Register is running this article discussing the feasibility of the alledged plot to bring down transatlantic planes.
Interesting take on the subject, and it coincides with what I've heard from some knowledgeable people I've spoken to in the days after the incident.

If you hit a person, I'm not sure how it works in the UK, but over here in Brazil it's always the driver's fault and you're fully responsible for what happened ( even if you happened to hit a suicidal maniac, you're still the stronger party - sitting in a ton's worth of metal and plastic, etc.).

Well the Fox looks roomy for the segment because it wasn't really designed to be a "sub-B" car like the Lupo.
It was developed in Brazil to sort of replace the ageing (mkI 1980, mkII 1994) Volkswagen Gol, the VW supermini for Latin America. I say "sort of" because VW kept selling the Gol after the ...

This is probably old news for you guys too, but last month VW launched an estate version of the Fox, called SpaceFox.
