Re: New GTI

I need to try and stop reading about / watching videos of this car, got ages to wait for mine and I'm trying to forget about it until it gets closer :( Hah, I know your pain, bro. It's exactly the same for me, but somehow I cannot get rid off the Polo desktop wallpapers at home and work :P Mid Octo...

Re: New GTI

Well guys, rang the dealer up yesterday to find out when my car would be here to find out he'd sent me a video of it the same day as it had just arrived. I should do the sensible thing an wait until the 1st of September but I'm picking it up on the 18th of August as I can't bare to wait any longer! ...

Re: Seat covers?

Do VW have tailored seat covers for the Polo? I wouldn't mind having something to protect my seats, but don't want them to look like they came out of my granddads Allegro or made in China Ebay rejects. I guess it's tricky because of the side impact airbags?? If they do, anyone have a part number? I...

Re: New GTI

FINALLY got a 'confirmed' build week for my GTI of week 37 (second week of september!!!) after ordering on 13th April. Delivery likely sometime early October. Been disappointed with the delay, they've said the build week won't be any later and could be bought forward and that if it hasn't been buil...

Re: Volkswagen Maintenance plan

Well I have spoken to my local dealership. I was told that the cambelt is every 5 years or 60,000 miles so that would not be included in the price unless I stated that I did 60,000 miles within the 4 years in which case the price nearly goes up an extra £1000! I was told brakes normally get done at ...

Re: Volkswagen Maintenance plan

You need to work out how many services youll have over a five year period, then work it out on minor and major costs (159/299) and tot it up. I'd have it serviced every year to be honest. Just wondered if it was worth paying the extra for the maintenance side. £578 for 4 services isn't that bad I d...

Volkswagen Maintenance plan

Hi guys. Looking into getting service an maintenance plan for my car. The question I want to ask is is it worth it? You can only get it up to 4 years and costs £1400 with tyres included or £1000 without. I've specced the 5 year warranty anyway so not sure if it would be wise to buy it. Without sound...

Re: New GTI

I also got my car though drive the deal so don't think that's the case. Is your dealer up north or down south? My dealer is in the north, Inchcape in Wirral. Same as me mate. Seems strange. Unless it's right about them having a certain allocation and then they can't order anymore for some time?

Re: New GTI

Also my spec 5dr, flash red, electric folding mirrors and sport button I think they're being arseholes about it because you've driven their price down to be honest. I got mine through Listers VW Nuneaton via Carwow but didn't actually go to the main showroom at all - it was all done via email and t...

Re: New GTI

Gutted, my dealer have advised me my car has been delayed AGAIN so now gone from original estimate build week 26 (this week) to build week 36. Not a happy bunny, looks like its going to be mid-late September for a car I ordered in April. That's terrible gaz, I ordered late April and it was built la...

Re: New GTI

i ordered feb and still waiting, at a rough guess mine will be here around first or second week in august. If so then im gonna let them keep it and register it on sept 1st. Not have a 'new' car for just three weeks, then as you say you lose out at trade in time. You've been very unlucky Andy. Spoke...

Re: New GTI

Mine's been delayed for a few days  Gotta wait 'till next week. By the way, anyone read the EVO review? They kinda ripped the Polo a new a**hole. But praise its GT skills. Honestly I don't care very much, I liked it when I drove it and that's what matters. But VW could definitely change the st...

Re: New GTI

Rang the dealer yesterday to ask when my car was due to be built as the vw tracker website is bloody useless! Was told build week 27. Ordered start of may. Seems pretty soon compared to when some people ordered
