I had the squealing issue with my GTI, its died down a bit now at around ~1500miles, but was a lot more prolific when i first got the car.

It's not causing me too much grief so i'm just living with it/hoping it'll just vanish eventually My local VW dealer isn't exactly great so i don't want more ...

Bought them new, via VW dealer on eBay, at a good £40 ...

Took out the GTI for a couple of pics with a photography friend a few weekends ago, here is my favourite one out of them all.

Don't think i've had my GTI getting 50mpg+ yet... around 600 miles in and i've had it down to ~20 and up to about ~35.

Seem to be a lot more 6C GTIs than there was 6R, not a bad thing as they look mean on the road.

So many Red GTIs loving them! Had quite a few people taking a double glance as i've drove past, either its the bright red paint or they think its a golf and then realise it isn't. Never had that in the 6r GTI.

Really impressed on the fuel consumption with this engine too, seeing 36mpg+ on the ...

Well after a good long drive last night i'm now 105 Miles into ownership and all i can say is WOW. Such an improvement over the 6r GTI in my opinion. Absolutely Loving it.

Today was day, she turned up just before lunchtime. Only had time for a quick blast to get fuel then back to work.

First impressions are it feels like it has a lot more pull than my 6r GTI, manual gearbox is lovely also. Updated in interior is spot on also.

Will get some better pics ...

I see, mine order Feb 13th(as most on here will b sick of hearing lol) and still no build date.

Ordered mine on the 28th January and all being well i should be getting my hand on it tomorrow! I'd of expected you to of at least got a build date by now, might be worth asking ...

Received an update on the delivery of the car, now showing IN TRANSIT. Status went straight from Build week confirmed to in Transit. :D

Perhaps someone can advise, looking at my paperwork for the car the dealer has charged £185 for 12 months Road Tax.. have they overcharged, the manual car is ...
