Thought you might say that. I know ther're sh1te on BMW's and have always preferred Continentals or Michelins. Problem is there're brand new so I'm not going to ditch them.

Re: 6c GTI lowering springs
Looking at getting these bought in the next couple of days, have checked out eBay and Awesome GTI and I'm assuming that most people seem to be recommending Awesome GTI then? Anywhere else worth checking?
Looking at the Awesome GTI site, am I right in thinking it would be the heavier [930kg instead ...

Re: 6c GTI intake size
Cheers dude.
Yeah, I mean I do really like the one that's been made on FB and it's a very good price bit seeing as there is so much space where a battery would normally be I'm going to take full advantage of it.
Also got a metal fabricator near work so might be able to produce a heat shield for ...

Re: 6c GTI intake size
I'll let you know tomorrow when my intake kit gets delivered. Seems that any intake at all is a big improvement on standard though, all of them I've seen are seeing 10-15bhp increase, heat soak or not. Standard must be very restrictive.

Re: New GTI
When I collected mine, I took it straight round to the petrol station filled up and pressed the trip reset.....The button was solid and wouldn't depress.
I was driving the other day and I heard a little click from the dash. I noticed the reset button had popped up higher than usual. I pressed it ...

Picked mine up earlier after having it serviced and they also replaced the instrument binnacle due to the sticking reset button issue. Something doesn't seem quite right though..

Re: New GTI
Yep that's in line with I've been told.
I've asked i I could/should do a service at 2000km (simple oil and filter change) and they told me it wasn't needed.
My first service is scheduled for May 2017 (2 years after I bought it) or 30.000km
I guess mine is down for annual servicing then? Odd ...

Re: New GTI
How many miles until your first service then? I've had mine for just under 6 months and 9600 miles and it's going in for its first service tomorrow
Dealer reckons anywhere up to 20,000 miles and two and three-quarter years on the long-life service interval. Not sure I'm happy with leaving it ...
