Re: ESC, Lane/Front Assist Errors 2022 Polo
As your car’s under warranty, in your position I’d be booking it in at the dealer’s for them to investigate and sort out the issues. Make sure you don’t clear the fault codes as they’re evidence for the dealer to see there are issues with your car (if you clear them, the dealer might play dumb and s...

Re: Polo GTi + - Reverse Parking
Here’s a link to a vid, where you can hear the difference between front and back: https://youtube.com/shorts/33i-lb08SbE?si=ZZfbQevxtvpFAYJv That definitely doesn’t sound right. Cheers for confirming. The fella I bought the car from has taken out an extended service plan, which I’m gonna continue. ...

Re: Polo GTi + - Reverse Parking
Welcome to the forum @RobJJW. Can’t say I’ve noticed the volume from the rear sensors to be any quieter than the front sensors on my 2020 GTI+. Both front and rear can be easily heard (the audio volume for radio / other media sources automatically reduces when reverse gear is selected). If I remembe...

Re: Heating and ventilation
@Polonut; I garage my pre-facelift Polo (a 2020 GTI+), so I’m fortunate that I don’t have the misting up issue in cold weather if I’m starting a journey from home. I also keep my air con running all year round which I believe does help to dry the air in the car at this time of year. If I’m away from...

Re: Weird alloy wheel centre cap deterioration
@ElAlastair; Some wheel cleaning products will degrade / damage wheel centre caps and the plastic wheel bolt covers. Have you changed the products you use on your wheels or have you started going to one of those hand car wash places, or if you already use the hand car wash places, have you recently ...

Re: 2024 Model Year Polo R Line
I also have the heated washer jets as I specced the winter pack. They are still not that great when the window is fully iced up and you end up using a lot of the washer fluid to melt the ice. The heated windscreen option is the best option but they don’t have that for the Polo. apologies for interj...

Re: 2019 Polo GTI - buying advice
A 2019 Gti will be due for the cambelt change in the very near future. So insist that it and the waterpump are changed before you buy it. Check if the tyres size has been up’d to 225’s from the OEM 215’s as this will throw the rolling circumference off and with it the speedo. Also the extended warr...

Re: cheap bling for key fob
the GTi version looks fatter all round unless your phone's camera lens was closer to the right hand fob? mine are the same dimension fortunately with the chrome or plastic fitments .. if someone had a over already it would still fit ok Ignoring the end caps, they’re both the same size. Must be my (...

Re: cheap bling for key fob
This is mine - spare key fob with chrome GTI end cap and the one I use with the black plastic end cap. The chrome end cap is larger than the plastic one because of the space needed the GTI logo.

most likely! many of the so-called performance and economy figures are massaged.. take the so-called urban cycle... Re: cheap bling for key fob
I have the ‘GTI’ version - a pair of them came with the car, along with a pair of the standard black end caps. The chrome GTI end cap is slightly larger than the black plastic one and with it fitted, my key fob won’t fit inside my silicone key fob cover, so I’ve de-blinged (is that even a word? 🤣) m...

Re: MK11 Polo R-Line buzzing noise
It’s not normal; IMHO the dealer’s talking rubbish. In an ideal world, a new car should be free of creaks, rattles and vibrations, but bear in mind that during the colder winter months, there’ll be less natural flex in the interior trim - especially when much of the trim is hard plastic as it is in ...

Re: Fuel consumption
Does the engine stay running while coasting??, if so wonder how much saving is achieved vs the normal where the fuel injection ceases from > than ~ 1600rpm down to ~ 1000rpm, (with accelerator released) Engine just drops back to "tick over" when it coasts. Probably doesn't make a HUGE dif...

Re: USB-C Added
I rarely have rear passengers for any decent length of time to warrant doing that..i have a 4 way multi USB connector with voltage read out in the front accessory socket which does me. I'd really like the console though.. That would be useful... but not looked into doing anything with that idea.. T...
