Thanks SRGTD I did wonder about trying to go down the warranty route, as I really think a wheel/car that is less than 9 months old should fair better than that. I'm not keen on getting them refurbed (I've kerbed the n/s/f which touch wood isn't holding up too bad) as I've not really seen any diamond...

He's a mkiv 25th Anni, was my daily driver til a couple of years ago but want to keep the mileage down now he's getting older.

Hopefully it'll be quicker than that - maybe not after your last attempt though who did you deal with this time?

I took mine to a local auto electrical place and had it hardwired, cost £50 but I would have broken something if I'd tried to do it myself and all the wires are hidden away neatly.

I'd give it a scrub with some diluted all purpose cleaner then use a trim dressing on it . I like Obsession Wax Nero personally, but there are loads to choose from.
