Yes still there and now the gearbox is crunching when really cold. Never done that before till the box was reconed.

Perhaps a silly question, but it was a reputable garage wasn't it - they haven't just said they did the gearbox and fobbed you off....

It was a specialist who does lots of VW gearboxes mate. It could well be just a gearbox chatter!

Yeah but can't here it cause it's idling high. When it got refurbished it got the works new diff pin, synchros, bearings and seals.

Hi guys, I had a problem with my gearbox heard a rattle when idle engage clutch and it goes away. So we put it down to a release bearing so we changed that and it was still there.
