right just got another look at the polio and it has 14"s on it.

the tyre size are 185 60 R14 so profile seems preety big.

Yeah, those tyres are definately too big. If you don't want to modify the arches (which I'd really advise running 15's), you need a low profile tyre without too much width to it. Even if the tyres are only scrubbing over bumps and under braking, it's still quite dangerous.. think how much wear ...
