Re: POLO GTI 6C MANUAL HORSEPOWER UNDERRATED

I've gone for the Wagner tuning competition intercooler. The turbo will be an IS38 (as fitted to the golf R) The I'm going with milltek for the exhaust (sports cat downpipe and resonated cat back) Imho I would never use a tuning box. A generic map (like from Apr, revo etc) will always be better. A ...

Re: POLO GTI 6C MANUAL HORSEPOWER UNDERRATED

My Polo ran around 210bhp stock, and I'm aware of quite a few other ones running 200+ stock on various other dynos. My stage 2 one is currently sitting at 276bhp and 326ft-lbs.

The car is now stage 2, drives totally different from just the stage 1 map, so much power lasting longer!

He'll deny it, wouldn't be surprised if he's deleted/edited the post. Got a habit of doing that the little weapon that he is.

The 125ps ecoboost is near identical at 200nm. The 100ps has less at 170nm
Yep I had the ZS125, so it's not really groundbreaking this new engine tbh. Ford also do a 140ps version of their 1 litre.

Re: Manual vs DSG torque availability?

I'm pretty sure the Sport button just shifts where the maximum torque is in the rev range pretty much, or at least that was my believing when I was ordering my Polo. The DSG in standard form doesn't reach the 236ft/lbs of the manual by any means.

Re: Manual vs dsg which is best for you? (video)

To be fair, not just old people who like dsg, I'm 27 and far rather an auto, but did have a previous gen 1.4 Fabian VRS so perhaps I'm biased? Also the dsg will be quicker in the real world as it shifts quicker than anyone can in a manual. Although I'm sure we can put theory to practice joe...... T...
