I was looking to purchase this

MK4 Needs New Clutch... Help!

Where is the best/cheapest place to purchase a full clutch, and how many hours labour/prices should I be looking at to get it fitted?

Someone mentioned £180 for labour is that about right?

Also @ 80K is it worth replacing the gearbox oil?

Mike are VAG Ball joints good enough for a lowered MK4 or is aftermarket recommended?

You believe that I should just get my Wishbones replaced and look at the ball joints at another time... But the guy who recommended me to do both said so because he said that the time/labour will be about the same ...

I have been told that I may aswell replace the ball joints on my car while I'm getting my wishbone bushes done...

What do you guys think (car has done nearly 80K)?

Are genuine VAG ball joints good enough or do I need to go aftermarket again?

Thanks for the help guys.

as far as i'm aware you should change the following

Cam belt
water pump
tentioners

The price you will pay, will vary, according to different garages labour charges....

The job shouldn't take any longer than 2hrs to do...

My garage has given me a fixed charge of £85 though,
I just have to ...

just give the car a mini service (regardless of milage)

- change the oil/oil filter
- change the air filter/pollen filter
- Change the spark plugs

then go to a recommended garage/or one that you trust to get your engine tuned up...

after the tune up, your MK4 will be back on point

I don't understand why he wont post them...

They are easy to package up and they won't cost £5 to delivery...

If I was you I would e-mail the seller to find his logic in not posting... and to be honest even though you aint got money now, I would find some... because that is a bargain...

These ...
