I retro fitted an armrest on my GTI and it's so far the best thing I've done to the car. It just flips up when you need the handbrake and otherwise gives you somewhere to rest your left elbow.

An absolute pain to retrofit (on the GTI anyway, because of the cupholder) but I think it's well worth ...

Looks like the converter should work for the connector I'm not sure as I haven't tinkered with a vw before as the polo 6c gti I have is the first vw I've owned.

I am also interested in this as well, I am in the same position as you. Haven't found a solution yet that doesn't require wires everywhere on my dash and down the front of my centre console.

So I am interested in other responses.

Hey guys first post

Had my 6c gti for about three weeks and found out one of my work colleagues has a vcds.
Never used one before, so I was wondering if anyone has had a go with one and what they have done.

Can you enable applecar on it?(would be really useful)
