VW authorised Tuners

Do VW have "authorised" tuners? i know ford have monotune, Volvo have polestar etc but not sure if VW have one? also i know there was some talk about the dealer being able to detect if a tuning box has been fitted, is this the case? or is it just re-maps that are detected by the ECU? Thanks!

Re: Asymmetric headlights - modification for right side driving

I don't think there is unless you have full LED lights, in my infotainment under lights, there is a setting for right of left

Re: New GTI

id say cruise is something a lot of people look for and parking sensors.. they make the most difference to re-sale price (and obviously 5/3 door and gearbox) as well as appeal. i have the sport button, i could live without it, but it is such fun when engaged and the car feels like a different animal.

Sound silly, but do you have recirculating on? Mine mists quick if I leave it on when trying to defrost the car.

Nice to see another DSG :D gearbox is such a personal choice..... as for which is quicker, I think me and JoeMarano need to find an old Norfolk airstrip!

Re: DSG vs Manual - opinions please!

I have the dsg and love it. I do about 1500 miles a month for work sitting in traffic and the dsg is a god send. The power delivery is smoother on hard acceleration as there is not 'lerch' when changing gear, like in a manual. I've had 2 of this type on dsg. One in a fabia vrs and now the polo. My o...

Re: From An UP To A Polo

I went from a Citigo elegance to a polo gti dsg and like you said no torque to lots of torque.
The trio (up, mii, Citigo) are good for their price point, but you can tell where they cut costs. The polo is like a mini exec car. I've done 4K miles in mine, and been brilliant.

Re: Dash cam

i wired mine into the 12v cig lighter fuse, with an adapter that came with my next base dash cam. i ran the wire without removing any trim. You should find that you can pull the rubber trim round the door away enough to push the cable in. the hardest bit was getting the cable through a small hole th...

Re: Thinking of buying new GTI

Re: Taking delivery of a new Polo GTI

signing the finance before collection is normal. you sign a "collection note" when you pick up to car to say it is correct spec etc and their is no damage.
