my mate replaced the window runner on the drivers door as it was seriously gone ...now noticed on the passenger door that I have the same prob ie rut at the bottom where it joins the door ...methinks this is a weakspot for rust on the polo....any ideas on the best way to deal with this short of ...

I am sooo lucky then with my garage charging £35 per hour for labour and the mechanics care about my polo and are real and genuine people ....thought £50 per hour was robbery but £75 on your bikeski literally !!!

I see the polo as a cute little loyal friend. It's all a matter of perception i think. And i don't mind my friends driving spiritless cars making fun of me either. VW's have spirit. I believe all people that drive german cars would aggree to that.

You see... the thing with the 1272cc CL engine is, its a low compression engine (relatively speaking)... so its much nippier around town through the gears, but once you are on the open road, its a slug:-(

think I am getting in the region of 350 miles out of a tank ...country and town driving not motorway where it may but I would never rely on it being a little more than that ...my polo is an early mk 111 h reg facelift model with nearly 72,000 miles on the clock
