You should post this message into the correct section - you'll get more responses. Certainly the 6n had a problem with the clutch pedal box which would need replacing at around 50k miles, my GTi had exactly that. I don't know about a total gearbox problem, but like I say, repost for more answers. Ch...

Re: Clicking when breaking

Just picked up my new polo s. Just wondered about something. When i press down or release the brake pedal i get a slight clicking sound, sounds like an electrical switch (maybe switching the break lights on?). I didnt notice this on a test drive. Does everyone else get this? Yep, I get this too. It...

9N cubby box mod IS possible on 9N3

Hi All, Just thought i'd let you know that the dash on the 9N3 is indeed the same as the 9N so the same top cubby box mod is possible. I've just switched mine out. There's a thread in the DIY guides section so I won't bore you with all the gory details. All I will add is that the easiest way to get ...

Try P21S as good as Zymol but no where near the price :) Matt You can buy a Zymol branded shampoo in Halfords which is a greeny blue liquid in a clear bottle which is a brilliant shampoo but no-where near the price of the 'proper' Zymol product range which is literally £100's. I wonder if that's t...

I've always used Mer Car Polish, which is good for everything, including removing light scratches - does a brilliant job. http://www.merproducts.com/images/polish.jpg About 10 years ago it was one of these trade only type products, but nowadays you can get it in Halfords and other places. Quite expe...

I love playing about with the computer Yeah, it's a nice addition to the car. Like I say, I found outside temp and MPG information the most useful. You probably know already but don't forget that the computer has two memory settings switched between by a button underneath the right hand stick - I'v...

Don't follow the petrol version but as for the diesels..... E 1.4 TDI 70 PS S 1.4 TDI 80 PS SE 1.4 TDI 70 PS Sport 1.4 TDI 80 PS Sport 1.9 TDI 130 PS None of this really surprises me. I've never understood why they did both 70 and 80 bhp versions of the TDi engines, as there is so little price diffe...

I haven't tried the mix button on the stereo yet either but I assume it generates a random playlist from the tracks available on a CD. Yes, the SE has all the gadgets you could want with the possible exception of the on-board computer that the Sport model has. I used to quite enjoy looking at the ou...
