I did this with my mk3 key.Its really easy to do, one tip, get a VAG key not one from a place like Timpsons. The VAG one's are stronger, I used a non-VAG one and it snapped of in the lock. I hope this is of some help.

Here's an update on the old girl. It has undergone a bit of a change under the bonnet. I'm sorry the photos a low quality, only my had my phone on me.

Doug if it wasn't so bloody high it might have looked alright.

The person who brought it was my mate Scott from Coventry. Its gone to a very good home. Its going to start of as a daily drive as his Golf is costing too much to drive to and from work.

He also some plans for the old girl, but thats all under waps at the moment, but I'll keep everyone posted on ...

OK i've only need 6 tents now. There will be 2 four man, 1 one man and possible 3 three man tents, i hope that will be ok
