I don't think that is relevant in this case, the OP has confirmed that the fan does not run when speed 1 is selected, which I'd guess is a resistor network failure.

hi guys, its been a while! (I've kinda just learned to accept my cars a nugget lol)

New problem that bothers me though!
My AC doesn't engage when the fans are set to '1' but will engage on anything higher!

If i set the fans back to '1' the AC will turn itself off!

The fans blow on all settings ...

So, I've posted on here before about a weird clunky noise and today i figured out what it was - its my exhaust heat shield (or the the chunk of metally stuff thats above the exhaust) its sheird off at one end!

when i got the issue last time, i found out there’s open hole near the door latch which i suppose should have a rubber cover. i checked my rear door, it does have rubber cover. see below.

I done a scan with VCDS - nothing showing up

Car was propperly cleaned and that hasnt fixed the issue.

Noticed this seems to be more of an issue when its colder than if its warm outside.

So im out of ideas

hmm - i have a few posts on here regarding the same issue i think - one of my posts have a video of the noise, be interesting to see if it is the same thing and if you do come to a resolution regarding it.
