Re: Rear View Camera Installation - how easy is it?
Should be possible, what MIB unit do you have? You will need at least MIB 2 for this retrofit. Post the device part number in here from the System Information page in one of the settings menu pages if unsure. Think if you hold Menu button it will take you straight there. Also do you have Parking Sen...

Re: Removal of Composition Media Unit From Glovebox - How?
I would suggest pulling the unit half way out then removing the glovebox...there is a video on YouTube for this on a 6R.
I found it easier to unclip the loom from the side of the dashboard as otherwise the cables are quite short. They’re just clipped on as you’ll see once glovebox removed.

Re: Dashcam doesn’t turn off
Okay so this is ignition only so it must have a battery in it to keep it running whilst car is off.
So connect it to the same one I used (red cable) or anything else switched e.g electric Windows.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200904/b044e3a1975d34def10ee46adc5f62cb.jpg This should help you. Red wire is ignition. Yellow wire is constant (I didn’t have correct size piggy back fuse holder) but the yellow wire is connected to empty fuse slot and has an in line fuse just behind where it dis...

Re: Dashcam doesn’t turn off
No expert on nextbase cams but I recently installed a Garmin cam on my 6C. I assume this cam requires constant and ignition power? For both in motion and parking recording. In which case where is your constant? I assume what you have pictured is ignition I connected my ignition to the fuse directly ...

Re: CarPlay retrofit
Common topic on this forum. Hundreds of threads on this exact question. I have the same unit as you want to get it changed. These units have component protection so not possible to change the unit yourself unless you have access to Odis. I would advise contacting VW Retrofit who’s fitted many of the...

Re: Wipers not behaving
I agree does sound like you may need a new one, it’s worth trying some contact cleaner if you are able to spray it inside. You are able to buy these cheap enough but can be tricky to do as you need to remove the steering wheel.

Re: Coding and Customisation
I use Carista mainly because I’m on iPhone otherwise would use OBDeleven. Fairly sure dipping mirrors aren’t possible on polos due to lack of memory seats.
Never had any issues with Carista but it’s quite pricey for the app subscription.

6C GTI Wheel Spacers
I’m considering getting some spacers for my GTI.
Does anyone have any recommendations on brand and size to get?

Re: Leaking from underneath
Funnily enough I had this exact thing in the back of mine. Previous owner looks to of spilt something in the back and had just been sitting there. Mine was almost like oil but harder and really hard to clean. A detailing brush and some APC sorted mine...good as knew. Consider this if you haven’t had...

Engine rattling /chattering- again
Common topic on this forum. I had the 1.2 TSI for years and sounded exactly the same, never had a problem. Most TSIs sound like this, think it’s high pressure fuel pump. Mine was weird, eventually simmered down after driving it for a few miles.

Re: My Polo Adventure.
Nice just installed them on mine after much debating. Took some white spirit and 10 minutes of scrubbing and removed the brand logos from the deflectors. Looks way better.

These engines produce fairly high output anyway so the difference won’t be too much.
It’s possible that you can produce more bhp using a box over remap. Likely produce more torque though.
