Ford Granadas (5 ish sat,50 ish sun)
PTs (50ish sat, 70 ish sun)
E190s (2 sat, 10 ish sun)
Polos (50ish sat, 100 ish sun)

IIRC When I looked into this, the guys I spoke to said that the only way to really improve the brakes was to swap out the master cylinder with a larger diameter, which enables you to exert more force on the pistons of the calliper.

Isn't the 1.4 3 pot basicly a 1.9 4 pot with a cylinder choped off? Your best bet would be the 1.4 for an easy swap they are found in the lupo, Arosa, Ibiza and A2 as well as the polo they have 75bhp as standard (as much as my 1.6 petrol) or the A2 now has a 90bhp version, there are people who will ...

You could try one of the Club GTi meets (big club so more meets) Stoke one this weekend, or there's a polo one coming up on the 21st.

Room booked! Woman says "We've had a lot of intrest about that weekend" the good news is they all wanted multiple rooms and it's a small B&B just up the road, stayed there this year and it was very nice. So I'm happy.
