Oh definitely annoying - but nowhere near as annoying as what has just happened. I've had to have the AA tow me home. The coolant level started dropping dramatically and it looks as though the head gasket has failed, possibly due to a bad repair job in the past. No record of this being done but the ...

Major update though - with some careful mirror/torch work I managed to find where it connects and have reconnected it. I went around the block and nothing seems to be any different but I feel happier that it's ...

What engine type is it?
It's a 1.2... is that what you mean? What would the implication of it being connected to nothing be?

That could be knock sensor connector from back of engine block
Erp, from looking that up it sounds important... there doesn't seem to be ...

Hi, I'm new here and completely clueless about cars. I recently bought a secondhand Polo - I think I'm right in saying it's a 9N3 - I would've called it a MkIV facelift base don Wikipedia... anyway we were looking under the bonnet and found this disconnected wire tucked away which I'm very concerned ...
