Put my GTi in today at the local VW dealers for 2 known problems.

Firstly, passenger electric window will not work.

No errors when I switch on. Everything seems normal. It is just that on a rare occasion when I start the engine the revs start to die and sometimes cuts out.

Sometimes the revs die and it chuggs a bit and then sorts itself out but as I say 90% of the time the car starts fine with no problems.

The rattling noise was there before the recall. The pedal box was only done the other day so it is not a result of that.

Should have mentioned it to the dealers when I took it in but was more concerned with some other 'issues' which they have now sorted.

I have had a look at Glass' website which seems to depict what equipment came as standard for all the different years of manufacture.

I presume I could remove my red door cards. However, the car is silver with black trim. Not sure they do any other card other than red or grey (the ones that go in the red GTI's)

Very much doubt it will have leather seats. Not many GTI's around in the VW used approved pot. None at all in leather. I can live with the standard seats though.
