Re: New exhaust manifold - engine overheating

Quick update to this. The garage have not looked at it properly yet but said water pump is a possibility because it doesn't appear to be circulating.

Any thoughts are really appreciated.

New exhaust manifold - engine overheating

Just paid a small fortune to replace a cracked exhaust manifold. Took it on a long journey the day after and an hour in the wife who was driving noticed the temp light flashing and the gage was maxed out. As we pulled off the road steam started coming out of the engine. So we switched off and manage...

Re: Squeaky rattle around handbrake area

Not been changed for a while. I suppose I need to get under the car then and have a look! The cat is probably around the area where the noise is so it sounds feasible.

Squeaky rattle around handbrake area

Had this pretty severe rattle for a while, it's intermittent. Whenever I take it to the garage for something else they never sort it out. Pissing me off now! It seems to be worse at high speed when going round a fast bend. At first I thought it was coming from the back but I think it might be the ha...

Re: fog lights

Yeah had mine done when i bought my car a few years ago. VW fitted them and they tried to feed me a load of crap like it'd need a new wiring loom and they'd have to take the bumper off. Turns out they were wrong, it's really easy and well worth doing as they look sweet. There used to be a guy on her...

16894 bank 1 catalyst system efficiency

Recently had my 2001 6n2 MOT'd at the local nationwide garage. The day after my labda probe sensor came on. I went back and complained so one of the guys plugged in thier generic com port code reader which came back with '16894 bank 1 catalyst system efficiency too low'. They also noticed that the e...
