Found a video on YouTube for removing the side skirts on a mk6 Golf GTI that might be helpful. The side skirts on the mk6 Golf GTI are the same style as the ones on the 6R Polo GTI so I suspect the fixings (and removal / refitting procedure) will be the same.

Gti 6R side skirt removal
What's involved in renting the side skirts on a 2011 Gti 6R? I am getting some quotes to have the plastics painted gloss black and would like to remove everything and refit myself, I am currently offshore working so I can't pop out and have a look at what's involved in removing the side skirts ...

Painted plastics
Thinking of painting my front grills, rear apron and side skirts in gloss black. Has anybody already done this? Surely someone has and could you post me a couple of pictures please.

Re: Bluefin and KN panel filter
Had stage 1 Bluefin on my 2011 scirocco 1.4TSI twincharger with a manual box. The map is relatively mild compared to some others. No problems in 60k miles and still not using any oil when sold. Would not bother with the panel filter as it will not affect performance. You need to go on the Bluefin ...

Bluefin and KN panel filter
Found a cheap deal on a Bluefin unit and KN panel filter, anybody else used a Bluefin on their gti 1.4? Is it just simple plug and play or do you need to have the ecumenical opened and enabled? I am a bit hesitant to do anything engine wise after all the horror stories I have read, but also see a ...

Newbie & MDI Cable
Thanks for the add, just picked up a 2011 GTi with full history and 7300 miles on the clock over in spain, really like the car so far. Am I right in say that the iPhone will only work with the lightning MDI cable?
