Well I asked them to make it ready ( and driveable ) for collection, and they said making
it driveable again is not possible ( without explaining why? )
As a layman and NOT a mechanic it is incomprehensible to me why this is not possible!
The only reason I can think of is the ( Cracked! ) valves ...

Thanks for your reply... I'm not sure of the labour/parts split on cost, but I will find out tomorrow
but I have already decided not to go ahead as I feel that it's not worth spending over £1000 on a car
worth less than £1500.

Hi
This is my first post and hopefully in the right place... I have a VW Polo E55 1.2 on a 2007 plate and have had it in garage where they
have diagnosed cracked valves in cylinder 1 and 3.
So my question on which I can't decide is at a repair cost of £1077 is it worth spending this much money on ...
