Re: Composition media alternatives to Garmin/Kenwood
Oh that sounds interesting. I could justify the cost if full functionality is enabled. I still cannot believe the voice activation is an option, whens surely this is just coding to turn it on....

Re: Composition media alternatives to Garmin/Kenwood
I think I found the one I was referring to before (which is also in eBay) http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?productid=280&cat=2&page=1 Pretty sure I remember someone on here slating it, and reasonably confident the nav will not show in the cluster (and presumably not for the Kenwood/Garm...

Composition media alternatives to Garmin/Kenwood
I have seen a number of alternatives to the plug in upgrades (like the Garmin/Kenwood retrofit). However, I have not actually seen any that were cost effective, in fact in some cases it was even more than the approved unit. Here are some I have found: https://www.axionag.de/products/navigation/navig...

Re: Plug and Play Sound system (Sub and Amp)
So any idea if in a Polo (6C GTI) I need the longer screw? To be honest I had read about a longer screw, but I thought that was in regard to retaining the spare wheel and holding them both in place (though logically that makes no sense if you think about it).

Re: Retrofit armrest
Ordered last night from Aus. Prefer to keep it as stock/OEM as possible to be honest. Not sure if I will like a leather top (as apposed to cloth), but easily changed I guess.

...actually re-reading your post. You said its two weeks early, but when did you order?
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Plug and Play Sound system (Sub and Amp)
I will probably buy this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Polo-6C-6-Lautsprecher-Plug-Play-Soundsystem-300W-Sinus-000051419B-/332281764106?epid=2095237459&hash=item4d5d89590a:g:9VgAAOSwiYFXJxsA It says there is an optional 'screw' and optional 'bypass plug', though its not obvious how you add t...

Re: Retrofit armrest
The Aus one? Was it brand new in the box then? Any customs fee or other costs likely to catch me out?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Retrofit armrest
Hi there, Read a lot of threads regarding the retrofitting of the armrest, and looking to source one for my new GTI. From what I can see there are two that regularly get mentioned, the Oriental parts one and the AliExpress one: http://orientalparts.com/OEM-Center-Console-Armrest-Black-Cloth-Polo-6R-...

Re: Plug and Play Sound system (Sub and Amp)
How do you know what it is pre setup as (presumably it can only be read by the dongle)? Will keep my eyes peeled then for a second hand one?

Re: Plug and Play Sound system (Sub and Amp)
Hi there, First post. Just picked up a new GTI, and am looking to fit this, and see that on eBay.de it is still available for EUR 368 more or less. I got the impression (from reading up) that the program dongle is not needed for the Polo (as the kit is already configured - setup seven and eight). Al...
