I had the same problem and this is what I suspect it is.
Then the timing chain snapped!

How much and how often did you notice you were having to top up if you remember?
I can’t remember exactly but at least every 2-3 month, I drove it 20 miles daily ...

internal leakage will probably go into the induction tract or the cylinder, then the oil get burnt and leaves through the exhaust.
I had the same problem and this is what I suspect it is.
Then the timing chain snapped!

Hi everyone!
I purchases my first car last September (2011, 1.2, 60k Miles), and it came with full service history.
I recently got a new job which meant that I went from driving the car 30 miles a day to only weekend use for the last 8 weeks.
