I think gaza means did you pull up on the handbrake to release the pressure on the ratchet and then push the button in.

Yeah doing that but with force is what finally got it feeling and acting as expected, just very strange and didn't expect this sort of thing with a car so young

Brand New VW Polo - Handbreak issues

Just bought a brand new VW Polo in less than 24hours the hand break would not lift down and was stuck, the button would not push in. I was at traffic lights during this were i had to battle the hand break for 2/3minutes obviously delaying other cars. As i couldnt park it anywhere as the fear of the ...
