Re: erractic fuel consumption

Thanks, an interesting comment.
My Earlier Mk5 Polo, consistantly gave unwavering good MPG despite all weather variations.
My present Mk6 was the same for the first 10K.
Will pursue this, and will have to get a digital analysis of the sensor and all hardware components.
Thanks to all for your input

erractic fuel consumption

I have a 2020 Polo Match (Petrol) 3cyl 1 litre 95. For the past few months, I have experianced a greatly varying indicated fuel read out. The car was very economic until recently - usual fuel mpg between 55 - even up to 60+ on most occasions. I do a 22 mile (same) journey 4 times a week - the indica...

Re: Heating and ventilation

Thanks for the input Guys - helpful. Since original post, misting has been slight and easily and quickly corrected. I can only think that on the one occasion (?) when the screen was totally heavily misted, I had left some rain soaked clothes in the car overnight. I have considered getting rain X - a...

Heating and ventilation

The heating and ventilation on my earlier Mk5 Polo was excellent, however this is not the case with my present Mk6. In the present cold weather - the screen demist problem is very annoying first thing in the morning. It take a hell of a time to clear. I get the impression that the O/S venting is far...

Re: Sudden MPG loss

Many thanks for the interest and comments. Let me try to give a little more detail re my problem. Firstly I am looking at individual journeys - and comment is based on the indicated MPG figure shown. There is no loss of performance. This happened about 2-3 weeks ago. The days use gave an INDICATED f...

Sudden MPG loss

I have a 1 litre 3 cyl 95ps polo 2020, with just 30k on the clock. I have been quite used to seeing an indicated 58 - 60+ mpg. This has suddenly changed, and now shows a loss of approx 6mpg. Tyres OK - no brake binding - performance unchanged and good. Suggestions please (Mass airflow sensor??) woul...

Dashboard Rattles !!

Not a matter of life or death = just a recurring annoyance. My 2020 Polo can go days or weeks in blessfull silence, THEN for some unknown reason I get a week of dashboard rattles. Are there some known areas in the dash area that people have discovered and cured? Your thoughts and comments welcomed -...

Rainwater in fuel filler compartment

Hi Guys my recently acquired 2020 Polo has decided to accomadate rain water inside the fuel filler flap area. I have not looked at this fully yet - but notice that other models in the VW range apparently have a drain hole that often gets blocked. Is there such a hole on the Mk 6 Polo? Or is there a ...

Sat Nav query - can you help?

My 2020 Polo Match does not have factory installed sat nav - so google or waze via my phone is the way to go. With google all is well. but when trying waze (which I like graphically) - I have been unable to get any sound/commentary. I have tried everything, but without success so far. I feel sure th...

Wheel Sizes & Tyre pressures?

I have a 2020 Polo. I notice that whever I need to check tyre pressures - and look online for pressures. All information alludes to 185x65x15 wheels. My car is fitted with 195x55x16 tyres. Was this an option, OR has previous owner fitted alternative wheel / tyres?? I ask because the pressures vary b...

Re: Tyre Noise OR road noise

Hi there thank you so much for your response - will now look at the sites you suggest. Currently have continentals fitted - these absolutely roar. I look back many years to when the Michelin X was available (very quiet but known for weak sidewalls) Has any reader explored sound proofing kits/materia...

Tyre Noise OR road noise

I have a 2020 Polo Match. The one thing I dislike is the road noise transmitted through to the cabin. In the south west, the road surfaces are rough. I have tried various brands/types of supposed 'quiet' tyres - but no appreciable differences. Has anyone tried various sound deadening efforts with a ...
